// BTL were invited to be a part of Oribe’s latest Atelier and Australian introduction to "The Journey to Mastery" with Global Oribe Educator, Joey George fresh from backstage at New York Fashion week.

Thanks to Rogue Beauty, BTL were invited to their 2 day Atelier recently in Sydney and Melbourne.

Attendees were greeted with a video introduction called "Journey to Mastery" (launching 2017).

It was also our first look at the new texture range which Joey himself was part of the product development. Joey then showcased a look he recently did for a Vogue cover. The look was futuristic, inspired by the cranial elongating of the Mangebtu Trives of Africa.

The creation of the cone shaped incorporated techniques using braids, binding, pinning, and teasing the roots to create the shape. After a quick bite it was time for the artists to recreate what they had learned. With some incredible results.

The second look Joey took us through was Avante Garde inspired a recent shoot "King Kong."
This had stylist's incorporating extensions and faux wig wraps to make a veil-like structure, something Joey does a lot and is known for. Recently spending time on tending the ever changing looks of Lady Gaga, and most recently opening his wig atelier in New York.

The work was then photographed for their portfolio.

While in town we  got and exclusive interview with Joey George for Behind the Artist and Jared Fisher from Rogue Beauty about the journey so far and what's to come. Like our FaceBook page to stay up to date when we post the video.
