// Two music industry events took place this week. The American Music Awards in LA and the ARIAs in Sydney. The events themselves are great but lets face it, while the hard-core musos might think it's all about the music - we know its all about red carpet and amazing hair and makeup teams sending the paps in a spin.

Here's our pick for hair and makeup standouts and the artists behind these looks.

Selena Gomez

Gave a stunning comeback look. Hung Vanngo created her smoldery eye and nude lip by using Chanel makeup. Her hair was pulled back into a ponytail, with a relaxed wave created by Nikki Lee.

Olivia Munn

Hair created by Laura Polko and showcased a new fringe. Makeup was flawless created by Patrick Ta

Hailee Steinfeld

Purple lips seemed to be the trend at the AMAs this year, and the singer/actress went with an electric magenta shade. She defined her eyes with a serious set of fake lashes and white liner along the waterline created by Melissa Hernandez.

// The Aria’s is the biggest night for the Australian music industry, national and international artists attended The Star in Sydney for the awards night. Our stand out hair and makeup looks for the night were Australia E host Ksenjia look created by Sarah Laidlaw. The simple middle part bun and those eyes.

Jess and Lisa Veronica

Always nail it and the 30th annual ARIAs were no exception.

Their look was created by Noni Smith who regularly looks after the girls and is a genius when it comes to a winged liner and their body paint during the performance  was created by Jessica Watson Miller
