BEHIND THE HAIR WITH KEVIN.MURPHY AND JAMES NICHOLSON
MYER NEW SEASON AW16 FASHION LAUNCH
// Internationally acclaimed editorial stylist Kevin Murphy directed the hair for Myer’s Autumn Winter 16 Fashion Launch, with Session.Master James Nicholson at the helm accompanied by a team of Session.Stylists.
This season’s range was launched differently at a sit-down dinner at Barangaroo in Sydney for 100 fashion industry insiders to showcasing the latest looks in fashion, hair and make-up.
The hair look, inspired by American actress and fashion designer Chloe Sevigny is her signature wet look with a dry ponytail pulled back at the nape. KEVIN.MURPHY collaborated with Headlines Australia hair extensions, Wefts On The Run and delivered ponytails that are uniform in thickness and length and to play with the hair colour trend of contrasting hair colours.
“Headpieces, headwear and jewellery embellishments have been incorporated into the launch so the hair needs to be chic and simple to ensure balance. It’s important that the hair doesn’t look too complicated or intrusive on the fashion,”
