// Balayage, taken from the French word meaning “to sweep”, is a freehand technique in which swatches of hair are sectioned and hand painted against a backing board with a lightening agent.
If you are craving soft highlighting with low maintenance regrowth Balayage could be ideal for your hair, as it is just that! Choose from refined and subtle, or dial it up with a Giselle style beach glamazon effect. This technique has been around since the 70’s and Bridget Bardot is an excellent example of the classic Balayage look.
Paris Balayage – (City Balayage)
Single strands of lightener are swept from the root to the tip of each piece of hair, creating natural ribbons of colour with a more classic approach.
Cali-Bali – (Beach Balayage)
Californian Balayage incorporates bolder pops of colour through the tips, feathered into the root area for a beachy, sun-kissed effect.
Balayage can also be added to pop the tips!
