// Hermiz, Style Director at Joey Scandizzo Salon in Melbourne lives and breathes hair.
He is a guest artist for Eleven Australia, Wella, GHD and Ambassador for Excellent Edges he has many awards under his belt already, his passion and drive has never been more evident than in his winning collection for Hair Expo’s New Creative Force category. He is also a finalist for the Victorian hairdresser of the year at the AHFA's (Australian Hair Fashion Awards ).

// How did you get your start in the industry?
I didn't really want to be a hairdresser, it sort of worked out from having a passion for fashion design, but I guess the creative side of hairdressing gravitated towards it.

// Do you have a signature look or style that you are known for?
I don't want to be known for a particular style (although having your signature is also good) , my style is always changing! But I do love big hair!

// What was one of your biggest career challenges and how did you overcome it?
Biggest career challenges! Getting a job with my boss Joey Scandizzo , I tried over and over again, sent about 5 resumes plus a letter to the salon, then I ended it up contacting him on Facebook, thank God for social media!

// Must have product or products  for your kit?
Must have products, miracle hair treatment from eleven and a dry shampoo for those dirty days you haha

// Who are the role models who have inspired you?
I know this might sound biased but I have to say Joey Scandizzo (my boss) is my role model, the drive that he has in humid out of this world!

// What's the next big trend you're starting to see sneak in?
Straight looks! I'm so over the wavy or the beachy look! But, we do live in Australia and it's basically all about the beach life! So that's a tough one to break there
