// How did you get your start in the industry?
I was always interested in makeup at high school so I studied a diploma of entertainment makeup. After the course I worked at a few different jobs as a makeup artist; I worked at a makeup counter, at a photography studio doing family portraits and assisting other makeup artists until I was confident enough in my skills and myself to take the leap to freelance on my own full time.

// Do you have a signature look or style that you are known for?
I think I pay special attention to skin and brows. I take a lot of time when I work on brows as they can make such a difference to a person's face.

// What was one of your biggest career challenges and how did you overcome it?
I think getting a foot in the door can sometimes be the hardest thing, but I guess its just about persistence, not giving up, being confident that you'll get there, and just networking, doing a good job and being a nice person.

// Must have product or products for your kit?
My favorite makeup tool is the Rae Morris foundation brush #23

// Who are the role models who have inspired you?
I was first exposed to Kevyn Aucoin's work through his books when I was a teenager. The first book I owned was Face Forward which inspired me and taught me about the transforming powers of makeup. It started a passion that would affect the rest of my working life.
