Working from her stunning salon Bixie Colour with her highly trained team of Hairdressers. She's an inspiring, innovative and dedicated artist so BTL are only too happy to chat with Sheree and excited to feature her and her staff's work in Hair Tutorials in the coming weeks.

How did you get your start in the industry?
When I moved to Sydney from Jervis Bay, I started in a city salon that was housing some of Sydney's best stylist and colourists. I got to learn from the very best and create some great friendships that are still strong now.

Do you have a signature look or style that you are known for?
Definitely Jennifer Hawkins hair colour.  My colours grow out seamlessly and have that lived in looks. Never stripy or chunky looking.

What was one of your biggest career challenges and how did you overcome it?
I'm really shy in large groups so presenting on stage was always overwhelming for me. It's something I'm still working on. It's knowing what your comfortable with. I prefer presenting to smaller groups.

Must have tool or products for your kit?
Olaplex🏻 I am obsessed with it! Every one of my clients had this treatment every time I colour their hair. It's completely changed the condition of their hair leaving it stronger. It really is a miracle product.

Who are the role models who have inspired you?
Celebrity colourist Tracey cunningham is my hair idol. When working for VALONZ, Renya sent me to L.A and I had the opportunity to assist Tracey. It was life changing. She is the real deal! So creative and passionate. She completely changed how I look at hair colour and I will be forever grateful for that experience.

What's the next big trend you're starting to see sneak in?
Texture! Multi dimensional colour, highs and lows and contrast!
No more heavily bleached out ends!

What do you enjoy to do when the brushes are down?
My kids! The girls are 3 and 8 so when I'm not in the salon, I'm hanging with my hubby and kids. I'm also a want to be chef. I love cooking!
